How to Participate

1. Download the template here or get a copy at the Otakyun! Official Booth.

Otakyun! 2023 – Doodle with Otakyun! Contest Template
2. START DOODLING!

Doodle with your imagination with Otakyun! mascots Akari-chan & Gao-nyan (Kazuki-kun is optional but recommended) in the theme “Fantasy”. Do include:

  • Sakura Color logo
  • The word “Otakyun!”
  • Fantasy elements
3. ARTWORK SUBMISSION

For online submission, send your completed doodle (Scanned) to contact@otakyun.my latest by 10th September 2023, 05:00 PM.
For offline submission, SUBMIT your works to Otakyun! Official Booth latest by 17th September 2023, 01:00 PM.

4. OFFICIAL WINNERS ANNOUNCEMENT

Announcement of the winners will be made public during the event on 17th September 2023.

5. PRIZE COLLECTION

Suit up or dress glamorously and attend our prize giving ceremony on 17th September 2023.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Anyone of any age is eligible to join this contest.
  2. Only traditional methods are acceptable. Traditional artworks (e.g., color pencils, watercolors, inks, technical pens etc) must be scanned in for submission.
  3. For online submissions, kindly submit your artwork within a size of 300dpi (21cm x 21cm) and 5MB. Use JPEG or PNG format only. (Minimum 21cm x 21cm, Maximum 5MB).
  4. Please submit the artwork in Landscape mode.

  6. NO profanity, 18+, gore, illegal, or NSFW artwork drawings. No illegible, incomplete, forged or altered entries will be accepted. The artwork may not be made commercially available, won any other prize/award nor previously submitted to any other contest. Violations of which will see entry be automatically disqualified.
  7. Participants may enter as many submissions as they like however duplicate entries are not allowed. Only one artwork per participant may be shortlisted.
  8. Closing date for the contest will be 10th September 2023 (for online submissions) and 17th September 2023 (for offline submissions).
  9. Winners will be required to attend Otakyun! 2023 for a prize giving ceremony on 17th September 2023 (Sunday). If you are unable to attend, kindly notify us via email to arrange for a representative.
  10. GEKI Events Management (GEM)/Otakyun!, Kendylife and Sakura Color Malaysia reserves the right to use submitted entries for promotional purposes.
  11. GEM reserves the rights to REJECT entries that violate any of the rules mentioned above.
  12. GEM, Kendylife, other judges assigned by GEM, Sakura Color Malaysia’s decisions are final on all matters relating to the contest.
  13. By participating in this contest, each participant accepts the conditions stated in the rules and agrees to be bound by the decisions of Otakyun! and Sakura Color Malaysia.
