Otakyun! 2024 Media Registration

General Rules 📷

  • Closing date to register – 6 October 2024

  • Only fully completed form will be accepted.
  • Applicants/Media Representatives must be 18 years old and above.
  • There is NO registration fee for accepted Media Representatives.
  • Media Representatives’ page need to have at least 2,000 followers.
  • Accepted Media Representatives will be given free access via a convention tag.
  • Media Representatives must keep their convention tag visible.
  • If a Media Representative loses, misplaces or forgets their convention tag, a handling fee of RM75.00 will be charged for a new convention tag.
  • Categories of Media Representative includes the following:
    1. Print Journalist (Newspaper or Magazine)
    2. Broadcast/Live Streamer
    3. Internet Journalist (Official News Website)
    4. Blogger/Influencer
  • Each submitted registration will be verified and evaluated after the closing date within 7 working days. Approved application will be notified via an email confirmation.
  • Media Representatives must present the confirmation email at the registration counter to collect their tag. No proof, no tag.
  • Any changes of Media Representative information or cancellation should be informed to the organisers in writing via email.
  • The Media Representative agrees to abide by the instruction of the organisers. Applicant further understand that he/she participates in this event at his own accord and will not claim or hold the organisers, Sponsors, and/or its committee members liable for any mishap that may occur to him/her throughout the event.
  • Failure to comply with any instruction from the organisers may result in immediate dismissal from the event and venue. Any comment on the event should be communicated to the organisers directly.
  • Event Time: 10:00AM – 08:00PM

Post Event – Event Coverage Link Submission 📷

  • All Media Representative shall provide a link/source to their posted event coverage.
  • This includes but not limited to blog posts, press articles (online/hardcopy), video platforms, streaming sites and any other relevant links.
  • Links/sources submitted, if deemed appropriate, will be shared on the organiser’s Socmed (Otakyun! / Geki Events Management). Feel free to tag us too!
  • An online form will be provided for the link/source submission upon approval.
  • Deadline of submission : 10th November 2024.

  1. Submission of this registration form represents applicant’s agreement and consent in adhering to the Terms & Conditions as mentioned above.
  2. Failure to adhere to the Terms & Conditions provided by Geki Events Management (GEM) will result in being blacklisted from being a Media Representative at their events in the future.
  3. Accepted applicants will be contacted via email, so please provide a valid email address.
