OtaZo 2026 Prop Making Competition
Entry Rules
- To enter the Props Making Competition, kindly fill out and submit the online registration form.
- Registration deadline is 18th April 2026 11.59pm
- Participation fee will be RM20 for each entry.
- Participant will be provided a template.
- Participant will be required to make a prop based on the template.
- Participant will be required to make a simple physical Work In Progress Document with Pictures and words to explain how they make the prop.
- Document has to be printed on A4 size paper.
- The document will only be needed during the judging session
- Material will not be provided.
- Material can be any materials except sharp metal.
- Finished item/props will be required to be submitted on OtaZo 2026 Day 1 (Saturday) before 12pm.
- Finished item will be displayed throughout the event until the judging session on OtaZo 2026 (time refer to final schedule)
- Participants are required to show up during the judging session (time refers to the final schedule) with their document to present to the judges.
- Only 1 finished item will be accepted per entry.
Competition Guideline
- The purpose of this competition is to see how the participant can craft an actual prop creatively based on the provided template.
- The material used for making the prop can be of any materials, e.g. wood, eva foam, 3D print, etc
- Any additional details are welcome, e.g. carving, jewel, accessories, etc.
- The scale has to be 1:1 to the template. A 1cm reference cube is attached in the template.
- The overall visual of the finished item has to look similar or as close to the provided template.
- The given template will have to be printed in full A4 size.
- The participant will have to cut along the dashed line and attach the pages together to get full actual scale of the template.
Submission Rules
- All submission has to be on time.
- Any late submission may result in penalty or disqualification.
- All documents must contain at least pictures and simple explanations.
- Document language has to be in English (simple English is fine). Keep it simple.
- During judging, judges may or may not ask additional questions.
Additional Requirements
- The provided template design is a Spear Head.
- The finished prop must include the following elements:
- LED
- Spear Head attached to a handle
- Handle not longer than 180cm(handle only)
- Forest Element: Leafs, flowers, wood, etc
- Hornbill element
- Adding details to the Spear Head is welcome as long as the outline is similar to the template.
Judging Criteria

- OtaZo 2026 reserves the right to change the rules & regulations without prior notice.
- OtaZo 2026 reserves the right to use participants’ images and recording of performance for promotional purposes without any prior notice.
- By entering the competition, registered participants agreed to not indemnify the organiser of OtaZo 2026, its organiser, GEKI Event Management and its committee of any damages or liabilities from participating in this competition.
